A Brief Introduction...

The articles written in this blog are based on travels to destinations both near and far that have left a curious impact on me. Some were colorful, adventuresome and culturally inspirational while others were more thought-provoking and personal in nature (Honoring Hamakua.)

If you're fortunate enough to happen upon a passion (or two) in your lifetime, it's something well worth exploring. Culture, travel, history and writing have always been a few of mine. It's never enough, though, to merely wander through the tourist-oriented shops when I visit a new place. I yearn to venture out on my own, away from the crowds, to discover the sights, sounds, smells and colors of each new destination.

What sets this place apart from any other? What do I want to experience here in the event I never return again? What will encourage those, who read my published articles, to visit this destination themselves? And in the event that they don't have the opportunity to vist, how best can I offer them a first class experience right from home?
